Summary 5 Card Stud is the classic poker game. It is played very similar to 7 Card Stud. The obvious difference is that each player receives, 5 cards. There are four betting rounds. 5 Card Stud Rules Five Card Stud Poker starts with all players putting the ante (depends on the betting limits of the table) bet in the pot. After the Antes have been placed each player is dealt 2 cards. One down card and one card face up. The first round of betting follows and another card is dealt face up for the second betting round. This repeats itself until all players have 5 cards. After the last betting round the showdown follows and the best hand wins the pot.
